The Other D&D Campaign: Lait Kai

Lait Kai, my character in Nathan's Dungeons and Dragons campaign, is technically my third attempt at role playing an interesting character.  My other character, the halfling Izarin, was interesting and certainly had fine points to his background but the class did not seem to fit my style.  Perhaps he'll make an appearance in the future, after undergoing some more transformations.

A little background for Lait Kai:

Lait is a stormsoul Genasi originally from the Elemental Chaos (where all Genasi are originally from).  At a young age he went with his parents (one of whom may have been a planeswalking pirate and the other may have been a Primordial priest, though he was too young to remember or care), and found himself in the distant realm of Eberron.  He quickly gained an admiration for the Warforged race, and became an artificer.  His dream is to create powerful constructs that rival the Warforged, in terms of duration and application.

The young Genasi is easily distracted by magical items, constructs and technology.  He also is a bit cheap and guards what little treasure he owns.  Lait Kai often purchases second hand equipment that tends to be faulty and create ill effects, like a realm teleportation ritual scroll, but with his skills in artifice can easily repair any oddities he encounters.
