D&D Day 17: Snakes

Ayboru, Warrior Mode
After in Merchaise, the group reconnected and prepared to undertake another quest. At the tavern they acquired a new member, a Drow Hexblade named Vier'Sshim. Before making his leave, the other Drow Hexblade Dravoren picked a quest from the board and gave it to the party. He returned to the Feywild, to see after Hadarai and the Drow Paladin.

At a nearby temple, the cult of Zehir was gathering to do something malicious. Unfortunately, with their low religious knowledge the party was unable to recall who the God of Snakes was.

In the first room of the temple, they encountered snake people with greatswords. Torion jumped off the stairs but fell down and missed the training snake initiates. They pulled a lever that allowed water to rise from the drains in the ground in the next room, waking up the sleeping things there.

In the second room of the temple, large constrictors and flame snakes were waiting for them. Vanielle Everchange attacked the far away snake warriors who were drinking water and watching the fight causing them to enter the fray.

Finally, in the third room, the party found a Snaketongue Celebrant, a more transformed snake cultist asking them to join their group and praise the holiness of Zehir. Vanielle wondered if he was crazy but realized that this person was completely sane. Thorry the Reckless also did not fall for the snakeman's schemes.

Out of a massive pool of water, a massive figure emerged and launched a full offensive on the elven seeker, for some reason.

Psychic snakes hurled from the Celebrant made the minotaur fall asleep, leaving the rest of the party to deal with the gigantic crocodile. With Thorry, Vanielle and Vier'Sshim cooperating, they quickly made work of the reptile and the elf dealt the final blow by kicking the beast back to where it came.
