Duskhome
A town of elves in the Bahren Forest. One of many elven communities east of the Sylvan Veil, a place where the mortal world links to the Fey Realm.
Compared to the other elven communities, Duskhome is smaller but not as rural, with many of its shops and its grounded tavern welcoming to non elven patrons. The elves of the village use homes carved near the tops of the trees, while below these elf only buildings are more standard human dwellings made of wood, stone and mortar.
Duskhome was a critical battle point between the Goddess Avandra and a primordial during the Dawn War. Though the primordial's name is lost, legend speaks of its powerful weapon being interred in the Goddess temple.

Meet the NPCS: Tomasz, the Traveling Trader
Tomasz, Traveling Trader
Tomasz is a large man with a big heart that aids the party by giving them discounts on magical goods. He also purchases any items the party doesn't need, and makes the first adventuring contract with the elf elder in Duskhome.
He hails from the Eastern Lordships and was a Weapon Supplier during the Great War. However, after meeting the party as previous mercenaries and the dissolution of the company due to the death of the lord that they served, he led the small band to the west in search of adventure.
Beneath the soft exterior, the trader carries a much darker secret.

Meet the Characters: Vanielle
Vanielle, Elven Assassin
Born as an orphan, Vanielle had a hard life living in the Feywild. She struggled to find enough scraps to fill her belly, so she turned to a life of thievery. After self training, she managed to steal from wealthy non-Fey merchants that found themselves in the land of the bright. She would then share her wealth with the other orphans so that they would not have to live the same hardships.
News from the mortal realm came of a massive war happening with the Eastern Lordships. Vanielle decided to join as a mercenary in order to gain what would be massive profit from the war, as well as find treasure on the side. She quickly made friends with Tomasz, the Supply Master, who would often give her an extra gold from his deals with the mercenary camps.
After the mercenary company fell apart, Vanielle continued on with Tomasz and formed a band of adventurers.
Succumbing to her own greed, Vanielle opened a suspicious treasure chest during the party's travels. As the darkness consumed her, she found herself in an ordeal with the Shadowfell. In exchange for a portion of her soul she was transformed into an Assassin.

D&D Day 2.5: Darkness and Elementals
Day 2.5
Through the portal the party lands on a crystalline bridge and see a Genasi warlord fighting alone against elementals. They jump to the rescue and help out Firajal of Pyreburg. The firesoul Genasi agrees to lead them to his village and along the way they get assaulted by elemental scorpions and other enemies. Vanielle opens a treasure chest and darkness surrounds her--she fights against shadow versions of her companions, and comes out of the shadow realm transformed as an Assassin.
They encounter a large group of elementals, an invasion force slowly marching its way to Firajal's outpost and manage to take out a small force.
They rest at Pyreburg and the group separates again to their own affairs. Hadarai gains a blessing from a primordial shrine, Thorry the Reckless haggles with a shopkeeper, Vanielle and Konthane rest at an inn, and Torion goes to the barracks to discover the location of Alzedril and her group.
The next day they are awakened by the sounds of battle. The invasion of elementals struck earlier than expected. The party manages to defeat a force of them as the Pyreburg soldiers bring order to the different quarters of the town.

D&D Day 2: Through the Chaos Portal
Day 2
As the party leaves the temple, they encounter the other party the elder sent to quell the bandit attacks. The leader Alzedril, an Eladrin bard, demands the ruby shard or else Groln, the half orc warden will crush Tomasz. As the party considers options including attack, one of Alzedril's group, a dark knight, teleports behind Torion, the minotaur, and whispers, "don't even think about it." Reluctantly the party hands over the shard, and Alzedril uses its primordial magic to blast Thorry the Reckless, the Tiefling Skald. Alzedril laughs as her party leaves them to recover.
After returning to Duskhome and finding no trace of the elder or Alzedril's group, the party decides to take a break and disband until the next day. Thorry the Reckless and Torion head to one tavern, and Konthane, the Changeling rogue, and Vanielle, the Elf rogue head to another. Hadarai, the Eladrin arcanist, heads to the library to look for primordial knowledge.
The next day they return to the elder's office and find Alzedril being refused the reward for clearing out the bandits. The elder's scouts had seen the truth and offer Torion's party the reward. As they leave the elder's office they are attacked by Alzedril and her group. As the rest of the party continues into the temple, they hear the thunderous voice of Groln, Alzedril's half orc warden, who throws the power of the earth at them using a orange crystal shard.
